1)capilano suspension bridge in vancouverCapilano Suspension Bridge-

Personally, the Suspension Bridge is the first place i would go! 450 ft long, 230 ft high. Then follow it up with the Cliffwalk:"The new Cliffwalk follows a granite precipice along Capilano River on a labyrinth-like series of narrow cantilevered bridges, stairs and platforms through rainforest vegetation". Even the website says it isn't for the faint of heart. and then, to calm down, Treetops Adventure:

Treetops Adventure takes guests 100 feet into the mid-story of a coastal rainforest on seven suspension bridges attached to old-growth trees. It is accessible to guests age 2 to 92. Nature guides provide hourly tours, explaining the importance of a West Coast temperate rainforest to the ecosystem.

5. Climb Grouse Mountain (or take the SkyRide)- Well, climbing is for the summer only.

grouse mountain skyrideGrouse Mountain is easily accessible, a 25-minute drive over the Lions Gate Bridge from the city centre, or a short bus ride from Lonsdale Quay. There's a car park at the foot of the mountain. The Alpine Station is the name of the facility at the top... and the Observatory, the name of a really fine dining establishment (open 5-10pm- phone 604 980 9311 to reserve). Your Skyride ticket ($32.95 for adults) covers entrance to the Theatre in the Sky, an IMAX cinema which shows a couple of short BC travelogues on the half hour, and the wildlife refuge, grouse mountain snowboarding a five-acre habitat that is home to a pack of grey wolves (retired film stars who were born and raised in captivity) and orphan grizzly bears Grinder and Coola and much more. The pond becomes a skating rink in winter- there is a small fee for skate rentals..In Winter there is also  a 300ft half-pipe for snowboarders and snowshoe trails. In the summer, a surprising number of visitors eschew the Skyride and pit themselves against the Grouse Grind, locally known as 'Mother Nature's Stairmaster'. Built largely of big wooden steps, the Grind gains about 850 metres (2,800 feet) in 2.9 kilometres (1.8 miles). map

spanish banks vancouver6. Go to the Beach!-Top Beaches in Vancouver:1- Kits Beach is the most "glamorous" of Vancouver's beaches. The real eye candy here is on the sand: the beach-goers themselves, pretty young people who come here to see and be seen.
Kits is family friendly, too, and great for swimmers: the waves are calm, and the beach's park includes the awesome Kits Pool.

2-Spanish Banks Every Vancouverite's favourite beach, Spanish Banks stretches along the west coast of Vancouver, far from the hubbub of the city's urban beaches. Perfect for family barbecues, letting the dog run free, and taking long walks, this beloved beach is best in the morning and early afternoon, when low tide lets you walk far out to sea.

3- Jericho Beach Home to the Jericho Sailing Centre--a great spot for a cheap lunch with an amazing view--and Jericho Park, this beautiful beach is ideal for sailing, walking and biking along the park's pathways, and playing tennis. It's the perfect place for a sunset stroll. Jericho Beach is also the venue for July's annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival .

4.- Wreck Beach Considered by many to be one of the best clothing-optional beaches in the world, Wreck Beach is another spot truly loved by locals. Well-known for its hippie-esque, anything-goes vibe, Wreck Beach is also famous for its raw, natural beauty. Go early; late-afternoon's high tides put most of the beach under water.

stanley park seawall7. Stanley Park- Stanley Park is the biggest urban park in North America - bigger even than Central Park. The park is wrapped in a famous seawall that is a great place to walk or run and offers spectacular views. There are horse-drawn carriages (like Central Park) and a mini-train, tennis, gardens, and even dining. maps
